New Year's Resolutions

I'm writing these out to hold myself accountable, and to remember them!!! 2011 was probably the best year of my life so far, we bought a house, renovated a house, got married and went on a dream honeymoon; 2011 is going to be a tough year to top.

1. Finances - This is my main focus for 2012, and I really want to succeed. I want to pay off our credit cards, and learn to save money, something I have never been good at. Ideally, I would like to put at least 10% of what I make into a savings account every paycheck,my grandma always said to pay yourself first :)

2. Clean eats- Have better eating habits. I know what I need to do, but need to discipline myself to do it! This goes along with working out, and I would love to lose about 25 pounds. Hopefully planning better meals and food preparation will be helpful with this, I hope!

3. Be more frugal- with our household cleaners, food, and DIY projects. Things like making our own laundry detergent, using leftovers for new meals, and repurposing things for house projects. Society has fallen to far into a world where we think everything is disposable, and we just buy brand new. I'm not trying to change the world or anything, but if I can save money by reusing and repurposing, I will be happy. Plus if I can spend less money making things more customized to our taste it's a win win situation!!

4. Love- I want to make sure I never lose sight of why I fell in love with my husband. And I want to make him feel loved everyday! The same goes for my friends and family, but of course on a different level. Of everyone knows that you appreciate everything they do, and that you're glad they are in your life, that's a beautiful thing!

MIA....

The holidays took hold and ran with with me,literally!

I have been so busy I thought about giving up blogging for right now, but I have come back and I'm doing it for me. <3

The holiday season was wonderful as our first as a married couple. We shopped, we baked, we decorated our house inside and hung lights outside. We wrapped up gifts, and as usual were too excited to wait until Christmas morning!! We spent almost all day Christmas eve and day visiting our families, I will never be able to express how truly grateful I am to have such large families that get along and love and support me.

Life continues to be super busy though, we are having a small new years party and then a HUGE surprise party coming up...,more details on that later!

I will leave you with a picture of my favorite Christmas present from this year:
